Weekly Weight: 208.2

Deadlines. This week they just about killed me. I’m not sure why the first week of October was when so many of them hit. I’m sure deep down it was a scheduling mishap on my part. I like to think people are clearing their slates for the upcoming holidays though. It would explain why October is so jam packed.

Admittedly it feels like everyone put off all autumn based things because the weather was too hot to think about them, because some of the things that hit this week really should have been taken care of in September. I think the calendar rolled into October and everyone mentally gasped and shuttered as they looked at their time tables.

So maybe it’s procrastination rather than forward thinking that cause the deadlines to sprout up this week like mushrooms in the shady spot of the yard after the rain.

Oddly enough I did prepare. I used my planning skills to good advantage. My problem was that I was so on schedule that when a couple of things came up that I wasn’t expecting I said, sure I can add that.

I think I said that too many times and the result was chaos.

Again, my fault, I know.

But they gave me the puppy dog eyes.

They know I can’t resist those.

Whatever the cause, this week I had to pare everything down to the bone. If it could be put off, it was. I had to cut some of my workouts short due to scheduling and let me tell you, I have never been so happy to have started my early meal planning. Because of it, I hit this week knowing exactly what I planned to eat each day and because I wasn’t trying anything new this week, I knew exactly how long each meal took to prepare.

It really saved me this week.

Cause I’ve had weeks like this before and trust me, I did not do nearly so well. It really reminded me how vital sitting down and planning my meals and getting my grocery shopping done early was to eating properly during the stressful weeks. There are some weeks I don’t want to do it. But I do, because its good for me. This week it kept me from eating a lot of crap that was just quick instead of what my body needed.

Lets here it for the game plan.

And the fact that the scale is once again moving.

even though I took it easy on the workouts, it wasn’t just time related. My foot was still a little tender going into the week so I eased myself back into the routine as well. And I was very pleased to see the scale once again on the move.

So the stats:

Starting weight: 246 lbs

Last week’s weight: 209.2 lbs

This week’s weight: 208.2 lbs

This week’s loss: 1 lbs

Total loss thus far: 37.8 lbs

Left to lose (apx.): 85.2 lbs

I am back on track. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I’m going to take a breather and then get back on my regularly scheduled program on Monday knowing that all of my upcoming deadlines are looming in the distance instead of crowding around me. I like when they are just shadowy outlines. Then I can plan. As long as I can avoid the puppy dog eyes.

Cause they get me everytime.
