This morning I woke up with a scratchy throat and have been mentally chanting ‘please don’t get sick’ to myself repeatedly as I try and figure out what needs to get done today and over the weekend. I have a large bag of cough drops on my desk and I am beginning to suspect an oncoming cold is a foregone conclusion. My plan then is to get as much done before my body decides NyQuil and a nap sound like a much better course of action. Luckily the last of my christmas presents were ordered yesterday and their arrival is now beyond my control. Also while I have finally been given my list for the Thanksgiving baking, I don’t have to start that until the 26th. There are no deadlines looming at present and if I can make it until about two pm today then I can crawl into bed and not re-emerge until monday morning if I need to. At the moment, that is looking like the most brilliant idea in the world.

Not too shabby. Not only am I edging into a weight that starts with a one instead of a two but I am getting close to the 40 lbs gone mark. Woot. That is exciting. It will be more exciting once I’ve slept the sleep of the medicated and my world doesn’t taste like cough drops, but still exciting. I hope everyone has a great weekend doing whatever fun thing you have planned. I’ll be back next week in a hopefully much better state.
