Given how much interruption there was to my week and how topsy-turvy it became, I am kind of surprised that there was a weight loss this week. But there was. And I am quite pleased. My goal is a one pound loss per week and while I don’t always reach it and am pleased with even slivers, I hit the one pound gone right on the head this week.
It was a very emotionally up and down week this week. There was the final push to get a book out. Which is always stressful. There is the elation when it its finally finished and out for the world to see, along with the immediate self doubt that comes along with it. And then there was the saga with my neighbor, ending in a nice bunch of bananas sitting on my counter.
I had one for breakfast. It was delicious.
Thank you bananas are always the best.
Usually my life is a lot more quiet and steady than this. But I’m glad in the end things seem to still be on track.
So without further ado, The Stats:
Starting weight: 246.0 lbs
Last Week’s weight: 217.8 lbs
This week’s weight: 216.8 lbs
lost this week: 1.0 lbs
Lost thus far: 29.2 lbs
Slow and steady, this turtle keeps moving on. I do long for the initial weight loss I had in the beginning with multiple pound losses each week being common, but I think that is just the way the body works. Or at least mine does. Also I think that while I like doing home workouts, working out at the gym helped. I am hoping that soon I will be able to get back to that. It sounds really funny for me to say because I really don’t like the gym, but it was very helpful for imposing structure. I went, did a certain circuit and left. Very routine, very established. It didn’t matter what the weather was or what was going on my change was adding or subtracting the number of repetitions. It was kind of a no brainer. Working out at home requires a little more thought. But at least this week my efforts got me to the one pound loss. And quite frankly, that feels pretty good.
