Oh my darlings today has been a day. To start off with, it is the first Monday after day light savings started which always throws me for a loop. As a second, today I got my first dose of the pfizer vaccine. Where I live the doses are only given out by the state government. There is no outsourcing to pharmacies like Walgreens or CVS.
I was informed I was eligible for a vaccine last Tuesday and had to continually check to see when an appointment became available. Which meant checking every couple of hours every day.Sunday I went to check and an appointment was opened up today. So I snatched it and spent much of my day in a drive through line with a large number of people from my county. It went fairly smoothly, it was just a really long line followed by a fifteen minute wait in the parking lot to see if I had a reaction. I find drive through medication a little on the strange side. However a my only reaction was a little soreness in my left arm and a minor headache, I’m counting myself lucky.
It also means that soon, I may feel more confident going back to the gym. I’ll still wear the mask but I will feel less paranoid about it. And as much as I dislike going to the gym, I think going back for a while may help me out. For now however I am going to wash my face so that i don’t end up with mascara sweating down my face. I forgot to take the picture before I left for the vaccine so the pic is post extended time waiting in a car with a mask (various people kept coming to the window).

Over all I really liked the look. The Foundation is fantastic and didn’t sweat or rub off which was nice. I really like working with the viseart palette and need to take it out more often. It is very pigmented but super easy to work with. I used my favorite Luxie 140 Detail Tapered blender to blend the shades and it worked really well. While I like the colors of the Kypris palette, they do tend to migrate down the face as the day progresses. I noticed that last week and this week, even though I went lighter on it, you can still see that migration start.
I’ve heard that others are using it as highlighters instead of shadow so I may try that. I really love the colors so I think it will be worth playing with. The only product I didn’t like was the Mellow Tinted brow gel. I don’t know if it is just getting old but it was clumpy and really really dark, plus I still had to go in with an eyebrow pencil to even remotely fix my brows. I am not a fan. I know my brows need some plucking, which I will do this week, but this gel just made them feel and look super heavy. I will be sending it out of the dressing table. Other than that I really loved everything else I used today.
But now I will be washing it off and going for a walk. It is quite warm today so post washing there will be an application of the Volition Sunscreen (luminizing Shield SPF 50) to my face and a spray down over my body with the Neutrogena Beach Defense spray sunscreen. I am going to have to stock up on the Volition before the spring gardening season really gets underway. It is one of the only sunscreen I can wear on my face daily without breaking out. Plus since I apply it like moisturizer with my skin care I don’t forget it. And t is always the sunscreen you remember to apply that works the best. Then when I return, cool off and rinse off, I am using the ona New York Spotlight Radiant Glow Gel mask as I try to get my schedule for the afternoon back on track.
