Good afternoon my darlings and welcome to wednesday. I hope your week is going well. Mine started out slow but is getting better. Pain has faded and solid foods have resumed their place on my menu. Don’t get me wrong, I am still taking it easy and still using my smoothies from Smoothie box (which are delicious), but they are a lot noce when they are something I want to consume rather than something I need to consume.
It turns out i rather enjoy chewing.
This week I decided to skip the gym, however I did end up going on a walk today. The walk was a bit more of a necessity than a choice though. Yesterday’s bike riding marathon did a number on my legs and so I needed to walk a bit just to stretch them out. They weren’t terribly happy sitting in a chair today. Although my desk chair is more comfortable than the bike seat. Especially today.
Over all it has been a pretty good day for me. Quite productive actually, which is a good thing. don’t worry, I have no plans to tempt fate by mentioning anything about plans.
At the moment I have no plans or schedules. You hear me universe? No plans at all.
Right, maybe that will stave off calamity for a bit.
Actually, I can’t complain. Things have been going fairly well. And I have to say, its kind of nice not to complain. I feel like my world got a bit angsty there for a while. I’m even quite pleased with how my eyeshadow turned out today. I went for something really simple and easy and it worked well. Of course it also reminded me of how fabulous my favorite Luxie brush is. It is the Luxie 140 Detail Tapered Blender and it is perfect for blending. It has a tapered point and densely packed bristles.
The problem is that I am fairly certain it is from a Line associated with Wonder Woman from a while back. While I don’t mind if my brushes don’t match collection wise I can’t find one in the Luxie range of brushes that exactly match it. I love Luxie brushes and tend to reach for them the most out of my brush collection, but I can’t find one that matches this one’s style so I am very protective of this brush.
And yes that means I don’t put it in the same container with the other brushes. It has it’s own special location. Sort of the pent house for makeup brushes. And yes I know just how deranged that sounds. If anyone happens to know anything about these brushes let me know. This one is getting kind of old and I do want to find a replacement for it.
As for my Makeup…
Primer: Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer
Foundation: Real Her I am Divine Power Wear
Bronzer: Nars in Laguna Beach
Blush: Floss Cheek and Lip Tint
Highlighter: Jecca Blac Glow Drops in Champagne
Eyeshadow: Viseart Petit Pro Deux
Lips: Huda Beauty Liquid Lip
Setting Spray: Porefessional Super Setter from Benefit Cosmetics
I’m still finishing up the Milk Makeup Primer. It is a sample size and at some point I will be picking up the full size as I like it wuite a lot. It really lives up to it’s name and grips the makeup well.
The Floss Concierge Lip and Cheek tint was new to me and arrived in this month’s Boxy Charm Premium box. I decided to try it first on my cheeks as it looked like a nice shade of blush. It actually worked really well for me. It blended in well and didn’t disappear. I didn’t go too heavy with it but I really did like the way it blended as well as the way it has lasted through today. I’ll be testing it some more and I will try it as a lip tint, but to be honest I tend to pick one of the other when i used something like this. I tend to go either lips or cheek and then just leave it at that. I suspect this one will end up getting stored with the blushes. I’m okay with that as i can always use another good cream blush.
The eyeshadow i am enjoying and really like the formula, but it is a limited color scheme. I am especially fond of the Jeca Black Glow drops as a highlighter. I blended them in for a subtle look that just catches the light when I turn just right, which is what I prefer to the blinding glow. I kind of want to keep this out to use repeatedly for a while rather than reaching for something else.
I figured since i went a little soft on the eyes I would go bold on the lip. I went with the Huda Beauty Liquid lip. I love the color and the formula, but I really need to get a lip liner with this one. It is so easy to go off kilter with the lines. I actually applied this lipstick twice. I forgot how much product the wand applies with one swipe. My first application was a bit messy so I had to wipe down and go for round two. I think with a lip liner it would be a little more controllable to fill in the lines. The formula is great as is the color, so I will keep reaching for it and looking for the perfect lip liner. Over all those are the highlights of today’s makeup look. I took my jewelry off before my walk and forgot to put it back on so there are no additions to the look today. I even left off my reading glasses instead of just popping them on the top of my head and forgetting about them until i look at the photo.
So this is me today. Doing pretty good and feeling even better. I hope your wednesday is going well and you are slated for a fabulous run to the end of the week.
