Early Labor Day

Today at my house the Labor Day weekend is starting early. We are packing up and heading out for a bit. As we didn’t take a summer vacation this year we are sort of treating this as an end of summer vacation. It is short and we are are only going as far as a small cabin in the woods, but there will be hiking and few people about in a place that isn’t home. So it will be nice to get away. So there will be no face mask today and no happy hour. well, there will be, but I won’t be near a computer to post them. There is no internet connection where we are going. This weekend will be completely unplugged.

And so before I pulled the plug I wanted to wish everyone a happy Labor Day weekend. I hope that whatever you do, you end up taking a break from your labors and recharge before we barrel headfirst into the autumn. For some reason as soon as the weather turns the days seem like they form a slipper slope descending to the end of the year. Then we all land breathless and exhausted on January first to begin the month that never seems to end.

I’m sure the slew of holidays compressed into a short section of the year combined with post holiday quiet determine that, but whatever the cause that is how it seems to me. And I for one will enjoy the brief respite before the craze. So Happy Labor Day and I will see you back here Tuesday morning, bright and early. Have a good weekend.

Oh and if you are looking for something sweet, Candy Club has a limited time deal… right now you can get one Free* Small Cup with the code: SWEETTREAT Details: Limit 1 free small cup per household. Shipping not included. Free candy cup must be of equal or lesser value than $8.00. Gift sets, bundles, subscriptions, and other products excluded. Offer valid exclusively at shop.candyclub.com. The link below will take you to the site. I am a big fan of their sour range. I also like that the nutritional information is printed on the side of the cups so you can decide exactly how much to treat yourself. I personally order the cups and then when I want a little treat I take out the few pieces I want and then put the cups back where i can’t see them. Sometimes, you just want a little candy. and as long as I convince myself not to eat the whole jar in one sitting, a little bit of candy is occasionally the perfect treat.
