Oh my darlings it is time for a brief separation. The bags will soon be packed and loaded in the car and the drive will begin. In the back seat will have an ice chest filled with delicious edibles and I will get to spend some time with my family. There will be feasting, there will be fun, there will be products that go missing as one of my family members realizes they have forgotten something and give the puppy dog eyes until I share.
But that doesn’t bother me really since I mostly took samples with me this time around.
I was planning to do a separate post about the hair items I am taking but I decided to simply take the CHI hair trio that I recently picked up. It has a shampoo, conditioner and heat protecting silk drops. So it has all I need. And they are unopened. I’ll need a plastic zip top bag when bringing them back, but they are sealed for the drive so it makes them an easy choice. I’ll post more about them when I return. Since I’ll know more about them once i use them.
Which makes sense when you think about it.
I am anticipating a lot of family fun this weekend. And food. There will be a lot of food. Just seeing what we are loading into the car and knowing what awaits us, there will be feasting. I’m going to try to control myself, which should be easy. My weaknesses are the sweet potato casserole and the oyster dressing. And there is a finite amount of either that I can actually eat. One thing i have found about baking is that by the time I’ve done it all, I don’t really want to eat the bakes. It kind of helps me out when faced with the deserts table.
I don’t know where you are this weekend or of you are even celebrating Thanksgiving but if you have time off or time with family, I hope you enjoy it. Aside from a brief October visit by my mom I haven’t seen my family in almost two years so I will very much enjoy this. By Sunday I will be ready for some quiet as they tend towards the loud and dramatic, but i will enjoy my time with them. And I will see you when I return bright and early Monday Morning with a new post.
Let the Holidays begin!
