Weekly Weight: 217.4

Staring Weight: 246 lbs

Last Week’s weight: 219.2

Weekly loss: 1.8 lbs

Total loss: 28.6 Lbs

I’m not going to lie, I was shocked by the number this morning. This was a rough week for me. We had near constant rain so the walking trail near my house was flooded. I used the treadmill for my walks instead, but looking out at the rain just made every walk feel like a slog. Even when I saw that I was putting my time in, it felt like I wasn’t. It was that sort of week.

Seriously, we got enough rain here that it seemed as though a better calorie burning activity would be to build an ark in the back yard. Admittedly I wouldn’t be gathering the animals afterwards. I’d probably just host an ark themed cocktail party in the backyard and tell people to wear animal masks. I’m sure ark building burns enough calories to justify one of those fruity umbrella festooned drinks as well.

Ark building aside, I was, quite frankly, prepared for a weight gain this week.

And embarrassingly enough, when I stepped off the scale, I told it “No take backs.”

Not that I actually believed it was lying to me.

Or that it has some sort of mechanized plot.

And agenda featuring world domination.

Really I don’t.


But enough paranoia. My weekly goal as always was to lose between one and two lbs. my one point eight fits nicely into that slot. So against all odds, this week was a victory. And we are edging very close to the thirty pounds gone mark. I generally give myself a small reward at each ten pound mark. I’ll have to spend the week trying to figure out what that reward will be, then use the reward as extra motivation to push myself in the upcoming week.
